Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) is pleased to announce that former Marine Cpl.
Nick T. Perales will be their Guest of Honor and a participant in the SDIA Heroes
WOD on Saturday, June 7, from 8:00AM to 3:00PM at Arvest Ballpark in
Springdale, Arkansas. The event is being held to honor our nation’s “Sheep Dogs” – the
men and women who serve in our military and first responder (law enforcement,
fire & rescue, and EMS) professions. Funds raised will provide support for fellow
Sheep Dogs in need programs and “impact assistance” to communities devastated
by natural disasters.
The Heroes WOD (CrossFit’s acronym for Workout of the Day) is open to the public,
and will have CrossFit athletes from around the region participating in a challenging
two-person team competition.
There will be both Rx and Scaled divisions, as well as an individual
Kids WOD for those ages 8-17; prizes will be awarded. Cost is $50 per
two-person team, which includes an event t-shirt and lunch. Children can
participate in the Kids WOD for $10 each. Spectators may watch for free. Registration
for this event can be completed online at .
